Are Sam Edelman Gigis true to size?

oh - i had asked this question recently!

I ended up emailing matches fashions and shopbop to get an answer.

and then measuring my feet with a tape measure!

Still dont think i am truly decided what size I am so am watching with interest.

I think they are small size wise.

I'm a uk6 in Ash, Dune and Nike.
I think my birkenstocks are a uk5.
But a us9 (uk7) in Gigi's.

I have Sam Edelman ballet flats in a uk7, but have tried the Adena's in a 7 and they were huge.

I did try a 6.5 in Gigi's and my feet were right over the edges which didn't look nice.
With the 7's, there's a bit of sole showing.

see Matches Fashions and shopbop both told me a 9 and I am a size UK6

I am a UK 5 or sometime s 5.5 so in reality I think I may need to size up, don't want claw like toes hanging over the edge!

I have wide size 6 feet (but take a 7 in most shoes to give me more width). The Gigi's I have are a US 9 and my size 6 feet fit nicely. They certainly couldn't be any smaller. I would say you should be aiming for a US 8 IMO.

I'm a UK 7 and needed a us 10 in the ballet flats, I think they run small

They've just got back an recommended a 8 for a uk6!

I'm a UK size 5 and my gigis are a US8 - they fit me fine - hope that helps!

i can confirm that a UK6 does need to take a US9 in the gigi's.

the ones i ordered arrived and it definitely takes a 9 to fit me.

DH hates them (his exact words - could you not have gone to primark and got a pair for £10 - but thats a whole other thread!)

I love my silver ones, and I bought the Gwyneth's last week... which are basically Gigi's but with studs and jewels on.

I still haven't ordered mine, debating whether they are worth £60 (call me tight!). I wish I could find some to have a look at first rather than pay P & P for delivery and then have to send them back.
Are they worth the money? I love the style and have a very simialr brown with jewels pair from Aldo from last year but fancy a coloured pair for a change.
i think I just need to order them don't I?!

My Gwyneth's were only £29 in the Selfridges sale and Harvey Nicks had gigi's for £30 ish

Annianni I am in the UK but nowhere near either of those retailers. I will have a look on line with them though, have been looking on Matches but they are £59 plus P & P. I think for £30 ish I'd be more than happy to buy!

What size did you want to try, and which colour are you after?

I've just bought cobalt gigis and they are beautiful.

However, I am a size 5, or a 4.5 in Clarks and M&S so I ordered the size 7.

They fit and no foot overhang BUT the toe post is flatter and wider than I am used to. It looks lovely but it is uncomfortable. Does anyone know if it softens? Or the straps give a little with wear. They feel like a size up would be too big.

Cobalt Gigi's arrived and having done a mini pedi last night an had a try on with a few bits I will be keeping them!
Size 8 was perfect for me and they semi comfy.
Really wasn't sure when I unpacked the box but love the fact they are blue everywhere and they do look really nice on and will fit in with my planned Summer hols wardrobe.
