Wondered if anyone had any thoughts on what to wear when you are interviewing? I'm a school governor, been asked to help interview candidates for a teaching post next week. I've done lots of interviewing in the past but in a very formal corporate environment and I'm not sure how it works in education? Don't currently woh so my options are a bit limited!
Had a rifle through my wardrobe and think the options are:
Tailored pencil dress (in suit type material) - have low heeled court shoes I could wear with it, could maybe pair it with a little cardi? Quite formal. Also not an option if weather gets hot, would be fine if like today!
Navy linen trousers, stripy knitted top (quite smart), smart navy/tan sandals.
Printed jersey tea dress. Either with smart sandals as above or have some wedges which are slightly more casual but go better with the colour of the dress. Have white cardigan I could wear with it. Only an option if the weather warms up a bit!
Dark green wide legged suit trousers (quite old but beautifully cut). Would need to have a think about what top to wear with them. With court shoes I mentioned before. Also have the suit jacket but think that might be OTT?
Would any of these be suitable do you think? Any thoughts much appreciated!
