suddenly greasy hair

I've suddenly started to get greasy hair a few weeks ago (at about 4 weeks pregnant!). even just after washing.

It's particularly greasy around the back of my ears. Most bizarre.

I did change shampoo and conditioner recently, to body shop ones. I make sure I rinse both off well.

I have fine hair, but lots of it. It's the same regardless what I put in hair after. It's the same if I put nothing extra in (I have frizzy hair so that's not great).

Any thoughts on what might have caused it, and what I can do about it?

Conditioner might be too heavy. Try putting it just on the very ends.

Or, perhaps a clarifying shampoo may help ( I like the Redkin one)

Either way, sounds like your new products aren't exactly right. Maybe don't re-buy.

Sounds like silicone build-up - shampoos and conditioners increasingly use them to make hair shiny (synthetically) - looks lovely but builds up badly. Check the ingredients on your kit - anything ending in 'cone or 'xane is siliconey. You don't have to go cold turkey but do use a clarifying shampoo every week or two.

It'll be your hormones! Happens to me every time. I switch to organic products and just wash more regularly.

I already wash each morning! I'll try to find an organic clarifying shampoo, and a different conditioner.
Thanks for your help Smile

I find something with tea tree in helps to keep the grease at bay. Also dabbing at the greasy bits with witch hazel on cotton wool between washes.

Thanks for all your advice. I found an organic clarifying shampoo here and it's perfect.

My hair is now lasting the day without going slimy. Thanks Grin
