Wedding and dress code

DH and I have been invited to his colleagues wedding and, although it isn't till August, so far i haven't found anything suitable to wear.

It is going to be quite grand and I can't find a dress suitable. I was in a car accident years ago and have major scarring and a massive chunk of calf missing. Day-to-day, I don't have a problem showing my scars but as I will be dressed up I would prefer not to show my legs. About half way down my shin is where the flesh is missing.

I was thinking of cigarette pants and a lovely blouse but would this be dressy enough? Or a midi type dress but can't find anything which jumps out at me.

I would be so grateful for any ideas. Thanks

I would get a maxi dress. Phase Eight is probably a good bet.

Thanks PrimalLass. I know the maxi would solve it but I was hoping to not wear a maxi just for a change.

But will have a look at Phase Eight.

I went to a wedding last year and wore lovely dark gold silk trousers and a too.

I definitely felt dressed up enough.

My wedding was quite dressy and one friend wore an amazing jumpsuit with a big hat and looked absolutely fantastic

I'd go wide leg trousers/halter neck type. Big hat and clutch. Coast often do stuff?
