good jeans to avoid unibot

here Even Pippa suffers from it. I presume that jeans with lots of elastene content create this effect. I like my jeans to emphasise the fact that my bottom is in two halves and not turn it into a squashed unibot. Does anyone have recommendations for jeans that do not create this effect?

I've never heard of Unibot before.

I suppose it's like the elastane/lycra crop tops or those comfort bras that give a very unflattering "momoboob" look.

But PMiddy does have a flat bum anyway

No unibot here.

Unibot! Great word!

Most jeans with too much stretch do that to me. The best stretch skinnies I've found that don't give you too much of a unibot are Uniqlo Ultra Stretch. Or just get ones without too much elastane - 2% maximum. I have to say I've never had the unibutt problem when I've gone for really expensive ones like For All Mankind and Paige.

Indeed an excellent word!

My best jeans in this respect are Oasis, but probably unhelpfully they are several years old now, bought about 4 years ago on ebay.

Also good are my Gap curvy ones. Maybe worth trying something like that, or the Levi curve ones (I haven't tried those) - just thinking in terms of something that is cut with some shape. Or there's the Eva(?) style in Marks and Spencer I've seen recommended on here. Anything that is too straight cut around the hips on me results in flatbot. And probably unibot too.

It is soooo hard to find well-fitting jeans!

I have some jack wills skinnies that always give me a unibot. So, not them!
OTOH my 7 for all mankind skinnies are perfect - just wish TK Maxx them in a bit more often ;)

My theory is, they need to fit around your waist so you don't get the dreaded droop..

I have some replay blondy skinny jeans although they aren't actually skinny. They definitely do not give one a unibot. Smile

Love that new word unibot! I completely agree, and am obsessive about jeans, have numerous pairs, and my own bot does occasionally get positive reviews Grin in... Asda skinnies. Yes, I know, am not a proper Boden mumsnettter, but the Asda ones @£18 are so far the best I have worn for years.

Grin Unibot

I have one pair of pricey jeans - J Brand 811s bought in a sale, and they are cut so well around the bum, I think it's more cut than fabric that can do this. It's like they're cut in a curvy way around the individual buttocks or something where my cheaper jeans are cut more straight?! There's a vid on YouTube of a girl trying on different jeans that show her bum looking massive, small, pert, droopy etc and she seemed to conclude it was all about pocket positioning - which is also notably good on my J Brands, small pockets and quite high up.

OOOh I'm very proud of my new word, perhaps it will make OED next year! thanks for the suggestions, now I'm approaching target weight I'm going to treat myself to some more expensive jeans so I'll check out the brands recommended.

Donna Ida do the best sales for denim and casual brands so be sure to check them out. I feel a name change coming along Unibot has a nice ring to it Wink

Lol lol lol!!

Love Unibot. No helpful suggestions really (find Topshop good for me, hope I am not under illusion of duo bot when in fact have unibot however...)

Thanks for a giggle!
