Does it ever come back?

I am 34, mother to a 2 yr old, pregnant again and a bit broke!

I wonder if those of you passed this stage found that feeling you look good comes back at some point? Not talking superhot as I never was but I can't imagine ever having time, energy or money for new clothes / to do my hair / get fit.

Will I ever get it back? Will I ever feel like I look good again? Or will i just feel so much older when i emerge? What are your experiences?

It's just a phase, honestly. Been there, got the (stained, rumpled, large ) t-shirt.
I look much better now in my forties when I have the time and energy to exercise, and a bit more money to spend on myself.
Hang on in there!

I agree, you do get it back! Part of the issue is that by the time you get out of the wobbly belly, enormous busters, sick on your shoulder phase, times have moved on, and the clothes you had five or six years ago just won't do.

But eventually you find nice things that suit you and flatter you, and work out the easiest way to wear them, within the "spare" time that you have. I still have to crack the exercise part, but I've got the grooming part back and it does make me feel a lot better!

That's made me feel a lot better, thanks! I was wondering if I ought to just put that side of my life behind me.

Will spend the rest of today daydreaming about the future!

I agree with novel- though it's a bit gutting that I look better at 42 than 32, only wrinklier! But don't worry, enjoy your babies, it goes so quickly once they are older.
