Nice sun hat?

Can anyone suggest where I could get a nice sun hat? I always end up burning the top edge of my forehead, so am thinking a hat is the way forward. I'm looking for something sort of everyday, that I could wear in the UK without looking daft! We holiday in Cornwall, so no exotic locations for us! I don't want a baseball cap! I'm very petite, so it'd need to be in proportion to me. I really have no idea what is naff/acceptable in the world of hats! I suppose a neutral/go with most things colour would be best.

I think with hats, you really have to go and try them on as not all hats suit all heads/faces. I really suit baker's caps and Stetsons but not cloche hats and I'm very short so I don't wear wide brimmed hats.

However, here are some hats to think about. Obviously, the wide brimmed are out but what about the fedora or the bucket?

Thanks, a great selection there. You're absolutely right about trying hats on. I really like the fedora style, although not sure if straw would give adequate sun protection. The bucket I would certainly have to try on, as I can't make my mind up if that would suit me. I also like the Margot style on that list, so shall def have to get myself to a John Lewis!

I love Panamas.. This one is great i just think they're very classy.

You can alo buy the tube and roll it inside for taking in your suitcase.

I had a nice cream fabric sun hat, a DD lost it in the depths of the garden.

By the time I needed it (you remember last summer) it had gone mouldy.

Yes it's gorgeous. You need the 57cm if your head is average size..
