I bought a dress, should I keep it?

this one
I'm a 16, it fits ok but I never wear dresses but I am trying to get out of the habit of black trousers for work. I wondered if this would look ok with natural tights but don't know what shoes would go? Maybe wedges?

Love dresses myself
What colour and style is it?

LaTrucha · 06/06/2013 06:40

Your link doesn't work

cardamomginger · 06/06/2013 09:54

I like it. If you feel confident in it and it looks good, then keep! I think wedges would look nice.

Keztrel · 06/06/2013 11:36

It kind of reminds me of a dressing gown. You don't sound very enthusiastic about it?

LaTrucha · 06/06/2013 12:12

I think it's ok. Does it suit you? I've tried on dresses in that sort of style from Great Plains and felt they were a bit baggy aground the middle (and my waist is not so slim).

WildThongsHeartString · 06/06/2013 18:22

It does fit well (and I'm kinda baggy myself) Blush
But now I've slept on it, I am not confident I would wear it so its going back. Sigh, one of these days I will find a dress!

Yes don't give up the hunt, you'll know when you've found the right one! I didn't mean to be rude by saying it looks like a dressing gown btw, I've just never really believed in the whole wrap dresses suit everyone thing. I think they FIT everyone, but suit no one.

I think because its long sleeved it will look strange with wedge sandals. More a boots and tights dress. You are right to send it back.

LaTrucha · 06/06/2013 19:36

I couldn't agree more Keztrel

WildThongsHeartString · 06/06/2013 20:37

Knee length, v neck, preferably 3/4 or short sleeves, maybe twisted or lightly draped at the front and able to work a miracle
It's for work so needs to be reasonably sober but light enough to wear in summer. Not an easy task!

How do Jaeger sizes come up?

I've got a big belly and arms, wonder if I should size up?
