Need a good scar product

That's mostly natural. Need something for breast reduction scars to help the healing process and reduce the appearance. (Haven't had op yet, just preparing!)

I've used both this:
www.amazon.co.uk/HealGel-Intensive-30ml-Advanced-Formula/dp/B005OPZET8/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
and
www.amazon.co.uk/Mama-Mio-See-No-Scar-effective-healing/dp/B0013T1XNU/ref=sr_1_2?s=drugstore&ie=UTF8&qid=1370424806&sr=1-2&keywords=mama+mio+scar

on a surgery scar on my neck. Of course, difficult to say how much they helped and what the scar would look like otherwise, as I started to use them as soon as possible, but you can barely see anything now.

Bio Oil - really helped with my CS scar healing (stopped the itching) and I also used it when I had a breast abscess that burst, so a similar skin area.

Trilogy organic rosehip oil £11-14 via large Boots stores or Amazon - it's amazing :)

Dermatix Silicone Gel Scar Reduction 15g
amazon.co.uk/dp/B0045XDZ4Q

This is what my consultant recommended for me - he said its the only one clinically proven to work. Going well up to now but early days

Jaeme · 06/06/2013 12:31

Sbc collagen gel really helped to fade out my scars and stretch marks.

Thank you all so much Smile

I second silicon gel. You can probably get it on prescription.

Vitamin E capsuals - squeeze the oil out and apply directly.

(I love SBC Collagen Jaeme . They did a Vit E gel as well it was lovely. And the Propalis is good for healing. It's an anti-bacterial gel found in hives. The bees wipe their dirty feet on Propalis before they go into the hive. Or something. Blush )

Anything silicon based will help scar reduction/flattening - anything else will just be skin improvement via massage iyswim.

I used Elastoplast scar plasters which were amazing, as recommended by my physio. I also used a silicon gel.

Aloe Vera Gelly. 100% natural. I am trying this at the moment after donating a kidney to my dad. Have only just started using it so will have to see.
