Summer makeup?

When the sun comes out and it gets hot am I the only one who looks at my make up bag and thinks 'naa not today!' My skin i awful and blotchy so I really should wear it (it gives me confidence and makes me feel better, I dont wear it for anyone else!) its just like I cant be bothed as the sun is out and its too hot to wear it.

Am I making any sense?

What make up do you wear in the summer? I normally only wear a under eye concelear, cream foundation, pressed powder and mascara. and its all very natural just to make my face look less blotchy and more healthy.

What would you advise for summer?

I wear BB cream, chanel loose powder, cream or powder blusher and a light/sheer lippie or balm.

On eyes I wear a neutral slightly shimmery shadow and a black/brown mascara, lined with a grey brown powder.

I use urban decay primer potion and mac fix spray to keep it in place for half an hour

I use bare minerals foundation but for the summer I mix a little with my moisturiser instead, giving me coverage but not the feeling of wearing make up. Clarins lipgloss, bare minerals eye primer, mascara and I'm done!

Tinted moisturiser rather than foundation, cream rather than powder foundation, no heavy lipstick, slick of tinted lipbalm.

That sounds like a much better option! Thanks, I will get some tinted moisturiser

I am currently using Clinique CC cream and some MUA from superdrug (reminds myself to start a new thread on that). It is all very natural and I am pleased with the results. If you ask Clinique for their CC cream they will give you a good 4-5 day supply to try at home first.

I have heard very good things about the Clinique CC cream.

I did. I bought a few bits and have been pretty pleased. Someone recommended the brand.

I wear a primer to start, and then a BB cream or a powdered foundation, something that will sit on your face but not feel to heavy, I also use the bare minerals collection, it's great, I bought a set which came with brushes, primer, foundation, bronzer, and a finishing powder to set everything in place. Then I use the only mascara that seems to work on my eyelashes the Yves Saint Laurent Mascara and not really used any lipblams or lipsticks recently, maybe I will start on holiday!

I wear the Illamasqua Hydra Veil as a moisturiser/primer, then foundation (Diorskin Nude) or BB cream (they are basically tinted moisturisers with SPF, mine is Estee Lauder with SPF35 which is great).
Blush - MAC/Chanel/Sleek powder blush or Daniel Sandler liquid blush.
Clinique mascara and eyebrow gel from Catrice.
Maybe eyeshadow - usually just something like MAC Grain
Lipstick (current favourite is Guerlain Nahema, so summery!), gloss or balm, and MAC Mineralize powder.
