I usually use soltan "anti mosquito" as it works very well at keeping wee bitey things away but I am feeling horridly sticky after a night slathered in this stuff, any suggestions?

The stuff you use which has the insect repellent in it will usually be a bit sticky and not completely absorb as some of it needs to remain on your skin surface to work.

The best aftersun I found was an aloe vera gel one from Boots...it's a massive bottle, I've had it for about 5 years, but its so cooling and soothing. Problem is it doesn't have the repellent in it.

Of course!!! that's why! [Embarrassed] that never crossed my mind as the reason!!
Thanks MrsBeep I will go and have a look in boots.

Insects apparently really dislike aloe Vera gel so it should still repel them. Always works for me!
