Boden sale

As far as I know there is a Boden sale on in Oxford this week,wed and thurs.Is anyone going,thought I might pop along,ive never been to one before and don't know what to expect.

I've been to one at the Kassam stadium before. There was a huge queue to get in and then it was a complete bunfight with lots of elbowing and shoving. I left my friend to it and waited outside. She got a couple of nice jumpers after queueing for 45 minutes to pay (in cash as the machine wasn't working!). Never again!

You need to be there early on the first day to get anything. I went on the second day of a sale and there was nothing of interest to me at all.

Gosh,im beginning too think it may be a mistake to try to get there! Just out of interest,what are the discounts like?will it be like the clearance sale and mostly Autumn/ winter stuff?

I wasn't impressed, but maybe because I am a seasoned buyer of Boden new/secondhand stuff on eBay. Also because I was there after all the good stuff had gone!

IIRC, trousers for children were about £10 and coats for children around £15-20. Lots of "samples", where they get stuff made up in advance of full production.

A friend told me that she saw lots of people grabbing armfuls, buying in bulk to resell, and you can find that stuff on eBay.

TBH I have found new or nearly-new coats in their normal sales or on eBay just as cheap and cheaper.

You definitely need to avoid having a child in tow, I think!
