Is this dress too mumsy? Be kind

I just ordered this dress in the navy on a whim when I was getting some kids stuff.

I just tried it on and it's so flattering. It makes me look very slim and makes my arms and legs look very slender. The colour suits me and the fabric is not too flimsy and I have a waist!

I have a bit of an aversion to boden women's clothes (although I like a lot of the kids stuff) and am worried its too mumsy and I am having a bad taste moment.

I would wear it with flat sandals to run around with the kids this summer.

The pewter is lovely.

It will look great if you are a size 10.

I'm a size 12, and would wear it with leggings.....but only for everyday, not anything special.
