Better than false eyelashes

I am nearly 50 and would look stupid with false eye lashes. Plus, I can't put them on very well! Ha!

My daughter is a teenager and they look fabulous on her.

So over the years I have bought every mascara known to woman to give my eyelashes more volume and length.

I have been using Alpha Love mascara for a couple of months and it's fantastic. Inexpensive as well, which is even better!!!

You have two wands, one looks like a normal mascara which you apply to one set of lashes, then the other wand has fibres which you coat over the lashes then you apply the first mascara wand to keep them in place.

It doesn't flake off like other fibre mascaras and doesn't irritate my eyes, I get hayfever and watery eyes sometimes and have had no problems.

Thought I would recommend it. I buy from ebay but its also available elsewhere on the Internet.

I tend to wear it on my upper eyelashes and normal mascara on my lower lashes as that suits me more but if you are younger then it looks great on lower lashes as well.

I apply it so that my eyelash length is increased by approximately 4mm but you can make them longer or shorter.

Thanks for the recommendation- I am always on the quest for the holy grail that is a great mascara!

I like false eyelashes for a night out but can't bring myself to wear them during the day and am too lazy so this sounds good.

I'm still trying & failing (not very often, admittedly) to apply my individual falsies without looking like Kirsty off Stenders Hmm

I think I've got too old for big lashes - does this happen? Your OP made me really, really want to try this magical mascara. Then I remembered I don't even use my Revlon Big & Bolshie (or whatever it's called) lash-boosting mascara any more, since it makes me look as though spiders are nesting on my eyelids.

Hmm. Joan Collins wears about a kilo of eyelash. Instead of retreating before my bags & wrinkles, should I be ramping up the smoky look and going Kirsty-stylee??

Ideally I need a brow lift but I find having thicker and longer eyelashes makes my eyes look less hooded and more open and bigger which does give a more youthful appearance. Well maybe not youthful but a less tired look!

This sounds like an investment I need to make...

KikeriFreedomCastle · 02/06/2013 22:32

Sounds like is worth a try. Where did you buy it?

False eyelashes can look so ageing, I always think. Though I'm so tempted to try individual lash extensions Blush

Sounds like modelco fibrelash? I don't like the effect it gives, very rough looking and doesn't give too many applications.

SundaySimmons · 03/06/2013 17:55

Model co fibrelash is rubbish. Alpha Love can be bought on ebay and on Amazon.

It's far superior to any other fibrelash mascara's I've used.

I definitely fancy trying this! Have you bought it from ebay before? It is way cheaper than on amazon but this makes me slightly suspicious - seems to be only about £3/4 from Hong Kong or China.

QueenOfCats · 03/06/2013 19:18

Op what seller do you use please?

SundaySimmons · 04/06/2013 15:38

Zizi_beauty

They are not the cheapest on eBay but I buy other products from them so they have been reliable and quick for me.

The maycheer brow powderthey sell is also the best I've ever bought.
