Eye make up for work

I am starting a new job in a couple of months & am having a clearout of my make up bag
Whilst I dont want to look like a painted doll I do want a more intense look than the safe nudes/ browns I have which sometimes can make me look a bit washed out.
I am blue eyed blonde -any suggestions gratefully received.
Dont have £££ to spend unfortunately.

I'm a blue eyed blonde too. I've just bought the Real Techniques eye brush set, which is really good - you can get it in Boots and it's about £20 for the set of 4 brushes. I am using the big all over socket brush and the crease brush a lot - any colours work for this, I personally like a dark grey or navy shade for something more defined, or a purple. A good selection is the Chanel 4 colour compact 'Vanites' but it's v £ so try some similar Bourjois shades - lovely quality, I believe they're made by the same company. I believe Madonna wears maroon mascara as it's more natural looking on blondes than brown or black - just a thought!

I also use a small slanted brush with black eyeshadow to do a quick line on the top lid and bottom outer corner (you could use the 'detail' brush from the Real Techniques set for this if you bought it) - makes a big difference and is very fast to do. My next purchase is going to be the Illamasqua sealer so that it doesn't flake or smudge off during the day - altho I think E.L.F. do one too that is cheaper, it never seems to be in stock when I am on their website.

Do you define your brows? If not try doing so - I had professional makeup done recently for a friend's wedding (bridesmaid duty) and she gave me full-on scouse brows Hmm but actually if I could get used to them they did really define my face... I will probably tint mine when I get around to it.

SUPERDRUGS have a 3 for 2 on make-up at the moment.

Bourjous, Rimmel, Barry M, MUA, Sleek (or some similar name)., can't remember all the brands that were there.

Loads of different brands, worth a look?

MAC Haux is a lovely purple for blonde hair and blue eyes. I use it with something like MAC Blanc Type or Laura Mercier Morning Dew.
