Are Toms really narrow?

Dd is 12yo and had a pair last summer which she now can't get on her feet. So we went to buy some more today, tried getting the next size up and she couldn't get her feet in. Even the next size p was a struggle actually getting her foot in the shoe. She managed in the end and there was loads of space length wise but they were really tight where the elastic bit is at the top, painfully so. Are they meant to be like that?

They'll loosen up a bit. I actually bought the men's by accident and only found out they were slightly wider when I tried someone else's on - might be an option for her? They're exactly the same as the women's ones (unless she's got the glittery ones - they probably don't do those in men's!)

I couldn't get my feet in some when I tried them the other day. Soooo narrow.

Bummer Sad they had some lovely floral ones in Schuh.

She's only a size 4, I don't think they do men's that small!

I'm not sure if loosening up a bit would be enough, they were digging in quite a bit. At £40 a pair I'm not risking it, she'll have to make do with cheap New Look ones.

I recently tried a pair on and they were too narrow for me,

I have a pair but they are so tight over the foot that it renders them useless. I,m off for a day out in London today and they would have been ideal but I can't face them Sad

Thanks, looks like Toms will be no good for her. Shame because she's desperate to have them.

Mine are definitely snug but they do give with wear. Check Amazon if you don't want to pay full price. I wouldn't pay £40 either, got mine for £20.

I have been thinking about getting a pair of these recently. What size woul you recommend getting if you are usually a size 6 with a narrow width?
