Shorts? Yay or nay?

Can shorts be stylish? There more practical than skirts and dresses but I feel like a 12 year old when I them.

Any suggestions (links) for nice shorts?

Buy the same style as that suits you in trousers. For me it's flat front straight leg. Peg type ones make me look hilarious.

Love them and wear a lot in summer.

My legs are best feature and short shorts less revealing than a short skirt.

I have all sorts - flat fronted culotte type, denim, linen, chino cotton jobs, floral, lace. Also one dark gray playsuit (hate the name) but it's really flattering on.

Love shorts with jumpers too.

I'm going to Alton towers with work and I'm hoping weather will be nice. I seem to have no summer clothes apart from a couple of maxi dresses, and I'm don't think maxi dresses and Alton towers are going to mix
