Which satchel?

I'm looking at these Yoshi satchels.

Which one would you pick - red polka dot or the navy with birds? You have to click onto the next page to see them.

Navy with birds is nice, not to keen on the polka dot one. Also loving the rose print one...

NorthernLurker · 26/05/2013 11:11

I would go for the plain red. Don't like the navy at all. And EVERYBODY has polka dots now.

NorthernLurker · 26/05/2013 11:14

Also have you seen them in the flesh as it were? Do they look like good quality because for the price I would hope they do. I think there's a risk that the patterned ones will look like every market knock-off at a distance - there are SO MANY patterned satchels around now.

WetDog · 26/05/2013 11:27

I can't actually see the prices on the website.

What it is, DP bought two of them home yesterday. I'm not sure I'm mad on either of them. He's taken them back today, I'm hoping he'll come home with the brown one :) Nice quality though.

Ah - well I won't drop DP in it. I looked on amazon. I think the plain ones will show the quality more.

ChewingOnLifesGristle · 26/05/2013 11:47

I like the pale green one for summer. How much are they though?Confused

redadmiralsinthegarden · 26/05/2013 11:52

i've got a Cambridge satchel company red one, which is LUVERLY. I agree with northern that the plain ones show the quality, and are less likely to date says she who buys new things once in a blue moon, so likes things to last

Bexicles · 26/05/2013 17:11

WetDog, is the leather on the satchels very stiff? I fancy one but want the leather to be quite soft.

WetDog · 26/05/2013 21:48

Bex it is stiff, thick leather but decent quality and they look well made. I think a soft leather satchel wouldn't work as it would sag and lose its shape.

DP came home with a small brown one tonight which I like :) He's going to try to get the bigger version tomorrow. I think they're about £50 which I think is a bargain TBH.

Team - your looks nice, are the buckles real or ard thry decorative over poppers? I don't think I could get on with having to undo two buckles every time I wanted to open the satchel.

Ooh, I'd have the mustard or the red in a jiffy

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 28/05/2013 17:26

Thanks Team, I tend to dip in and out of my bags constantly so I do want to try and avoid real buckles, as I suspect I would just leave it flapping. [lazy]

Bexicles · 28/05/2013 18:45

Team the Scaramanga satchel is perfect for me, love the distressed leather look, going to treat myself to it on pay day, thanks for the link.
