can you wear a cropped denim jacket? or any cropped jackets really. trying to work out if it is more flattering to have your hips covered or have the jacket end way above them. Someone who knows about body shapes please help me!

I couldn't for sure. Anything cropped makes me look really short and like a small square box. I'm 5'1" and size 12 and very hourglass with big norks. But I think if you are very pear shaped when something sits right on your hips (widest point) that can really emphasise the pear- shapedness. I think it depends on your overall build and proportions. though. If you aren't sure could you try some on?

I think it has to be really cropped, sit on the waist and be close fitting to work at all on a pear.
