Hi ladies i am hoping someone will help me figure out what size to try.

I am currently breastfeeding and so will need a nursing bra. The one I'm wearing now is rubbish. The lady at mothercare measured me as 36 g
But I am so uncomfortable.

I found the bra threads but couldn't figure out which size I am. My underbust is 31 and over is 37.

how did you measure your overbust, best way is to take your bra off. lean forward to about 90degrees the girls are hanging down and measure the over that way

ilovepowerhoop · 24/05/2013 14:11

with that under bust measurement you probably need a 30 or 32 back measure in a bra (not 36!). For cup size I would try a range of DD, E, F to see which one fits best. How does the cup size feel on the one you were fitted for?

StatisticallyChallenged · 24/05/2013 18:25

Based on the measurements you gave I would have said about a 30F but if that is your correct size your current bra cups should be utterly enormous on you as a 36F is designed for someone who measures 45" around.

sorry its taken so long to get back to the thread, sick dd and new baby.
I have done my measurements again and they are under 30 and over 41.

I think you're looking at around a 30H given those measurements

StatisticallyChallenged · 27/05/2013 12:57

That makes more sense certainly - yes, try around a 30H. No wonder you are uncomfortable.

Thank you for your help. Now my problem is finding bra that size thats not too expensive. Smile

You're definitely wearing the wrong size bra.

I'm breastfeeding and am a 30FF I wear a panache Sophie feeding bra in the day, from figleaves, and a cariwell seam free at night, from their own website. My carriwell is a size 2 but if I ws wearing it in the day I'd be tempted by a size 1. I'm 30 underbust and 37 overbust.

If your not used to wearing the correct size underbust you'll fit it tight at first. You should be able to fit 2 fingers under the band. Once your bra is done up make sure you lean forward and scoop all you breast tissue into your bra when you put it on. You might need to give the back a little adjustment at the end.
