Help choosing between two dresses.

Am going for a meal in a nice hotel tomorrow, not my usual scene so clueless as to what I should wear.

I'm torn between two dresses and the friends I have asked can't agree so need mumsnet help.

Which one looks better on me?

they are so different. what do have as jackets/shrug type things. it's chilly!!

I think the first one for fancy hotel meal, very nice :)

i do favour the first more tho, nice length and flattering on you.

I think the first one is nicer for a meal out in a hotel, if you are anything like me you would end up with crumbs down your cleavage if you wear the second one they are both lovely though.

They are different yes, I have a black jacket, waist length that I would wear with either. And we're indoors so not too worried about cold.

I thought the first one, OH is championing the second one so I'm indecisive. Think the second one hides my big arse better but the first one seems more suitable for a nice hotel.
