Yes, I've washed dsd's several times.
Take the laces out first though.

mrsyattering · 22/05/2013 16:23

Great, so do you, just hand wash the laces?

i've added the laces separately to the machine. I put the trainers in an old pillowcase with a towel in the drum. Cif cream is good for the toecaps.

Madamecastafiore · 22/05/2013 16:36

God I just bung DDs in all together don't bother taking out laces.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 22/05/2013 17:21

Yes - we just shove dd2's in complete with laces.

BinksToEnlightenment · 22/05/2013 18:09

I wash mine laces and all.

mrsyattering · 22/05/2013 18:25

ok, I chucked them in a pillowcase and the laces are separately. Will try cif on the rubber too. Can't afford to buy new ones so if they look new I'll get another summer out of them at least Smile

Shove them in and then pop them in the airing cupboard.

mrsyattering · 22/05/2013 19:27

Sorry thread hijacking, do you think you can put a few colours together?

Annianni · 22/05/2013 20:00

Wash them again with Napisan, that should get them white again.

Annianni · 22/05/2013 20:01

I washed blue Cons with burgundy Superga and they were fine.

SunnyUpNorth · 22/05/2013 22:03

I poured bleach all over mine, scrubbed it in with a toothbrush, left them overnight and then washed in the machine. I took the laces out and scrubbed them with washing up liquid as in the machine only the exposed bits of the laces got clean so if the laces then moved once done up there was random, patchy, dirty bits. They were brilliant! But sadly I only did that a few weeks ago and they are already filthy again.

Fab, thankyou. Between oh & ds I've a red pair, grey pair & navy pair that need a wash. I guess they must be colour fast or feet and socks would end up coloured as well as laces.
