BB, CC - what?

I tend to stick with the products I know & I've kind of missed out on a step forward in creams - so can someone please tell me:

  1. What is a BB cream?
  2. What is a CC cream?
Keep seeing ads for them everyone & I have no idea what they are!

A bb cream is a foundation, primer all in one cream most have SPF.
A cc cream is a colour corrector so if you have reddy skin or grey skin they will brighten it.
Essentially they are the same. Shop around and test them out.
I have the Estée Lauder bb cream, which is great. The clinque cc cream made my mum's skin look amazing! The garnier one is good though.

thank you HeavyW. I feel a whole world of beauty product excitement opening up before me! Grin. What does BB stand for?

I'm just getting into Estee Lauder, as I have the Night time serum, which I really rate. How good coverage do you get with the foundation, as I am freckly covered in age spots? I use the heavy duty Clinique one at the moment & it is good, but a bit of a dull finish.

Well, bb is beauty balm or beauty benefit.

I use the night serum too.
The Estée Lauder is thicker than a tinted moisturiser but more sheer than a foundation.

Really good for this time of the year I think bb creams are.
