Mascara help required purleeeeease

Ok, I have eyelash ishooos. I have really fine & totally straight, quite short eyelashes and just cannot find a mascara that works.

Anything volumising clumps on my lashes & turns them into 5 pointy spikes. Anything lengthening just splatters everywhere due to consistency being too 'wet', brushes being too sparse & sheds fibres into my poor sensitive eyes.

Oh, and everything gives me panda eyes.

I'm currently ploughing through some old Perfect
Lashes by No7 which is great consistency & great brush (long with lots of thick bristles) but seems to wear off by the afternoon.

Spent £20 I can ill afford off the back of recommendations on here on Estée Lauder Doublewear but it gave me ultimate spidery lashes.
Blinc did the same & made me look like something from a horror film in the swimming pool.

Was thinking of Clinique Power Lash.....any thoughts?

Why don't you go to a salon and have them permed and tinted?
No panda eyes or clumping!!

Elle has a sample of Benefits They're Real, try that.

Had that done once but saw no discernible difference. I need volumising & thickening for sure.

Have you tried L'Oreal telescopic? It's always my fail safe cheap mascara. You might not like the brush though, it's a fine spiky one but it makes my lashes lovely and long.

Slightly pricier is Benefit They're Real which is brilliant but does dry up quickly.

Get some of that super expensive eyelash serum (cos it really works).

Meanwhile Lancome Hypnoese (or however they spell it) is my favourite mascara. Its not too wet and not too clumpy but it does give a good general enhancing effect.

Boots did a no7 one with a square brush, can't remember which one it was but the no7 lady in boots will be able to help you.

I used to get panda eyes, I use loose powder now over foundation and it has stopped it

I also like the L'Oreal tubes one. You put on a white base and then the black over the top. I was reading Max Factor are bringing out one that lasts for 3 days.
Keep the brush from your no7 mascara and use it in other ones if you like it.

Coco....what a fantastic idea to use my No7 brush with other mascaras. You eyelash genius!

Using two different mascaras usually works too, a volumising one and a lengthening one.

Have google imaged all the suggestions you've made to see what their brushes are like....Lancôme looking best so far.
Was very excited about Blinc before it arrived but so disappointed with the brush & it's spidery effect

I love Lancome too, but Defencils over Hypnose. I find Hypnose quite gloopy.

Anyone used Clinique Lash Power that can comment on it?

I like Givenchy Phenomen'eyes but it's pricey. I've just started using the new Max Factor one and so far I'm impressed. No clumping at all but what a bad name!

I've just started using a Max Factor one that's for blue eyes, (also available for green or brown eyes) and it's the best I've tried for a while.

I hate thick clumpy ones and am fussy about brushes too.

The Max Factor one I've linked to has a very thin brush.

Definitely try Clinique lash power. It's probably the best mascara I've used but am trying to be good and buy cheaper ones these days. It is totally waterproof so you wont get any flakey bits or panda eyes. But its easy to remove with warm water.

Ps. Hated Blinc too - totally wasted my money and chucked it away in the end

Lash Adapt No 7 or Max Factor masterpiece used with an eyelash curler before hand.

Have you tried an eye lash curler first? My eye lashes are like a camel's - stick straight out unless curled first!

Best eyelash curler ime is John Lewis own make for a fiver. But they are all pretty much of a muchness tbh.
