Red handbag and what?

I've finally plucked up the courage after months of umming and bought a red handbag. I had thought about wearing it with a leather jacket, breton top and jeans. Predictable, yes, but thought it would work...except husband now says I'll look like I'm wearing the French flag!!! So help please how would you style it?

Ignore your jusband and wear what you want.

I love my red handbag, it's a real tomato red and looks great with brown, blue, white, yellow and even purple but a bit too Christmassy with green.
It lifts a dull outfit, the colour clash with my orange/yellow top is fab.
