Nail colour?

I've never really worn nail varnish/polish (? - I don't even know what to call it!) but I'm going for a massage treatment at the weekend and it includes a manicure. I feel like experimenting but have no idea what colour to go for. Are there 'classics'? Are there fashions in nail colour? Should I try and figure out what suits me? How?

Personally I like neutral or pale nail polish myself, well for fingers anyway, and brights on my toes. If you want something classic then a lovely red always looks nice. Something trendier might be a really bold blue, or 'greige' type colours are also very fashionable. Something similar to this maybe? Neutral and suits everyone

That does look good. I was thinking maybe being a bit bolder as it's so out of the ordinary for me anyway :). Though maybe I'd end up regretting it and taking it off quickly, which would be a shame.

I think coral is nice and also, bold.
