I was given a 7 day trial & am loving it but just Googled with a view to buying some & can't really afford to splurge on it right now Hmm Only on day 4 so please tell me it isn't worth the money and there is a far superior product for half the price??

I love their skin care, always use it (get lots of nice compliments on my skin) and, having tried a small sample of the new serum, am definitely going to get some next pay day, so can't dissuade others!

abigboydidit · 20/05/2013 05:37

Hmmm. I was worried someone might say that Wink

Aldi serum is beautiful for my 45 yr old skin

Eliza22 · 20/05/2013 08:17

Abi, what's so good about it?

Eliza22 · 20/05/2013 08:18

Ooh, sorry, not sure what happened there, on typing your name!

abigboydidit · 20/05/2013 08:23

I've only tried it for a few days but when I put it on it does seem to make my pores less obvious and give me a bit of a glow in general. Very hard to describe TBH but I'd just say I look brighter, less tired somehow (and given I have a 3 month old baby and 2 year old DS, that's liquid gold!). NOt sure if there is long term benefit or just a bit of a flash balm effect.

What's the Aldi serum Ledkr? I used to use Boots Protect & Perfect but have to be honest and say I notice absolutely no difference. I just keep using it because of all the hype when it first came out.

randgirl · 20/05/2013 08:36

I've been using it daily for about 2 weeks now. I can see a difference, my skin is much smoother and as per earlier posting my skin is glowing. For my dh to notice then it has to have done something Smile. I use about half the amount of moisturizer now.

Fuckitthatlldo · 20/05/2013 09:30

Sorry op, haven't tried it myself, but have heard more than one person describe it as the best serum they have ever used.

I'm not helping am I Grin

abigboydidit · 20/05/2013 11:59

DH told me I looked "dewy" earlier.. Think am going to have to sell one of the kids Shock

OP posts:
Eliza22 · 20/05/2013 12:14

Yep, I have that option open to me, too! Kids are mostly the cause of my "worry frowns" anyway. Seems only right Grin

abigboydidit · 20/05/2013 12:47

Still holding out for a negative review or cheaper version. That way I will feel justified as I have no other option Wink

I bought it after using a free sample and wasn't expecting much..... But it actually works!!!My pores are definitely smaller and skin just looks better all round. Helps the make up glide on better and stays on instead of vanishing after a few hours. I have been using it both at nighttime and morning so have got through quite a lot having bought it beginning April. I see you can buy it a bit cheaper on various online beauty websites.

abigboydidit · 20/05/2013 15:48

Am wondering if I can justify it on the basis of reduced moisturiser/foundation costs? Shock

OP posts:
Ethlinn · 20/05/2013 15:58

Definitely!!! It saves you money then!!! Wink
I shouldn't have looked at this thread. Something that makes pore less visible... I really want it now. I really really really do.

abigboydidit · 20/05/2013 16:09

I got the 7 day trial from a Clarins counter if you're passing.. & if am getting sucked into a purchase I am dragging others with me

ABigBoyDidIt, am resurrecting this old thread to see whether you continued to be wowed by the Clarins Serum and continue to use or whether you saw no real change and moved on to something else? Am tempted by it as feeling very old and decrepit 😐

It's shockingly expensive considering its mainly just mineral oil...

EleanorRigbysNeice · 07/05/2017 16:47

Oh. Confused

What the bloody hell to use then? (!!)
I need ...something. And fast.

Maudlinmaud · 07/05/2017 16:59

Bought into the hype when it first came out, think I may have bought it 3 times and used it religously but tbh not sure it did anything for me. I use estee lauder night repair now and it suits me better.

Navy I've only gone back to it within the last 3 months as my friend gave me a night repair face mask to try and I loved it. I've really noticed a change and I say that as someone who doesn't really look after their skin or no anything about skincare. Pricey though but I suppose in the same range as Clarins. A little goes a long way.
Eleanor what are you looking for in a product?

Maudlinmaud · 07/05/2017 17:11

*know Blush

EleanorRigbysNeice · 07/05/2017 20:12

I read the reviews of the Clarins Serum and they all spoke of absolutely amazing results. It's won a few awards. I guess I want what they describe....a brighter complexion, results! I look dull/tired. I am tired. I have no "bloom".

Asking a lot of a product I guess.
