Chester races help!

DH's work are taking us to the races at the end of June. I've never been before, and am a bit worried about how dressed up to get.

I've bought this dress (but it goes right down to the floor on me which I love) and these sandals.

I'm thinking jut a chunky silver coloured bangle for jewellery because the dress has beads on the bodice bit, and I'm knitting a lacy scallop wrap with this yarn to take for if it's chilly.

I love the 70s type of look, with this in mind:

Do I need to wear anything on my head?

Oh, I also need a small bag to go with it all too.

I have Debenhams and Dorothy Perkins vouchers, so something from there would be a bonus.

TIA Smile

Hi knitter no accessories suggestions, but I live near the racecourse, so I see a lot of the ladies. Imo you'll get bonus elegance points for actually wearing sandals you can stand and walk in. The dress looks fine, pretty and about right. Enjoy!

Oh, and no you don't need a hat!

Thankyou so much!

Definitely no hat, they're only really worn at the May meet.

Have a fab time!

Given I did perth races last week where around 75% of ladies there clearly own no mirror at home I think you will look lovely.
