Thanks I'm spoiled for choice. Glad I'm not the only one who doesn't want to glitter at work.

I hate shimmer eyeshadows so I feel your pain! I really like the Urban Decay ones; Laura Mercier and MAC do some nice ones.

LaTrucha · 14/05/2013 09:51

I have this problem too. Hate it.

At the cheap end of the market, I have found Boots natural collection have some matte, and so do Mua in their palette in Superdrug (there are sparkly ones in there too but they are cheap as chips, so doesn't matter too much. )

ZacharyQuack · 14/05/2013 09:58

Stila In the Know palette is all matte shadows. Bobbi Brown also has a good range of mattes.

JennySense · 14/05/2013 12:01

If you're bargain hunting try these at superdrug
www.superdrug.com/mua-pro-pallette-undressed/invt/501051

Also lilylolo do matt powders

LITTLEGEEK · 14/05/2013 14:44

I recently had a makeover at MAC an it was all matte shades, was really impressed. Bit more expensive than I would usually pay but have used it more than any other shadow I've bought.

bella65 · 14/05/2013 15:12

Bobbi Brown
Cement, Grey, and a few others.

ygritte · 14/05/2013 22:07

I have a great Mac one called malt and then someone on here recommended Soap and Glory quad.I looked at it.. 3 matte and one shimmer (pale, and 2 medium shades in the matte) and got it free when I bought a brilliant waterproof brown eyeliner and amazing "archery" eyebrow pen. £15 for all of it. I'm not sure the offer is still on but I would pay full price for all of them.

HappyAsEyeAm · 15/05/2013 10:21

The mua pallette that Jenny linked to in Superdrug is half matte and half shimmery. But for £4 for a pallette of 12, you can't go wrong. I woudl receommend their Undressed, Undress Me Too, and Heaven and Earth pallettes. 3 for 2, so you get all 3 for £8. I really like their eyeshadow primer for £2.50 too - I smear that on my eyelids, then use the shadows and they stay in place all day and are generously pigmented.

My favourites are the Bobbi Brown cream ones in the colours already mentioned and Becca eye tints, specially Baroque - available online only from Space NK.
