Sharpening eyeliner pencil - how?

I always end up buying loads of kohl pencils because I just can't sharpen them properly. The point either keeps snapping off or I get a totally blunt, smudgy mess at the end that I can't use! Is there a trick to this or anyone know of a good sharpener I could buy?

I don't get on very well with liner/liquid pens because I find they create just too bold a look for my age!

You need to turn the pencil so so super sloooooow....

After you've sharpened it, soften the tip by writing on some tissue paper.

you can also pop the pencil in the fridge for a bit too first.

Stick it in the fridge/freezer first.

I've just bought a Stila one from Amazon. Sorry I can't do links. It has 2 sharpeners, one for normal and one for chubby pencils. It's fantastic! And all for less than £4.
