Midi dresses but shorter

I'm trying to find a dress just like my topshop midi dress which reaches my calves - I'm 5'5. It needs to be just under my knees. I've seen women wearing them but have been googling all day and can't find any!
They're t-shirty material with elastine so cheap. And 'body con'.
Anyone?
Hope the above makes sense Smile

New Look has loads

Asos petite range

MaryJane71Again · 12/05/2013 22:14

I've looked on the New Look and asos websites tethers, but the models are 5' 9, so yes the dresses are just below knee length on them!

Just buy your favourite and take up the hem (or get an alterations shop to do it).

Or buy a knee length (on the model) dress

I have one from river island . It's suppose to be midi I think but I am 5 ft and its really not . I'll try and find it.

It's super duper flattering on hourglass too as the black bit under the bust exaggerates my waist .

MaryJane71Again · 13/05/2013 19:49

Thank you. Sewing is not my forte, asos petite range was a bit limited, so I've just ordered the River Island one - thanks bishboschone! It got the thumbs up at work aswell Smile

Do you wear yours with black shoes? Or something more adventurous? It's for a special occasion at the end of June.

I haven't actually worn it yet ( don't go out much !) I think high sandals would be better though. It's quite a light dress and I think black may be too heavy .

MaryJane71Again · 14/05/2013 20:10

Thanks again. I don't go out much either! But I have some sandals, yes they are black, but are very summery. In fact I've had them so long they seem to be back in fashion again Grin
