I went on an ill advised splurge and came out with:

  • sandalwood oil (one of my favourite fragrances!)
  • beautiful camel tailored skirt (2nd hand)
  • wool/silk tweed trousers (2nd hand)

And I should be saving, dammit, saving (should change name to currentlyunemployeddotcom).

How about everyone else?

I've bought two pairs of whistles jeans on eBay. Both claim to be brand new without tags so lots of potential for disappointment when worn tatty clothes turn up.

First pair is grey snakeskin skinnies £20

Second pair are white, either skinny or straight leg - hard to tell from the poor listing/photos - and claimed to be long length £11. Vain hope I can look summery a couple of times this year and that whistles will have used denim thick enough to be decent.

If just one pair turn out to be new and nice I will be happy.

Yesterday I bought some Seche Vite on Amazon for £5.99 to facilitate summer feet. I also bought The Dinner by Bernard Koch in English for me and The Reader and Perfume in German for DS1 so he can throw some references to modern German lit onto his personal statement for uni apps. Realise the books are totally non style/beauty but it makes for a v exciting parcel. Not sure which parcel I most want to arrive!

Watts Up highlighter from Benefit and Revlon Lip Butter in Candy Apple. Both recommended in S&B.

3 pairs??? I assume you weren't sure which cut / size to go for so will be returning one? Otherwise, I am very Envy.

Since posting about my bikini, I have also bought Havaianas for my hols and a pair of board shorts for my son. Both on ebay. Breastfeeding + iPad = much more expensive than formula.

I bought a maternity nightie (for hospital bag) in M&S and picked up a few cards for upcoming weddings.
Got leggings, a pink summer top and navy maternity hoodie in New Look. I wasn't going to buy anymore maternity clothes but starting to get few up of everything I have. Hope to have another baby in a year or two so shouldn't be too much of a waste.

Mysteryfairy, great literary taste there. Good luck with the jeans; my ebay jeans' ventures have usually been fraught with disappointment but I don't seem to learn.

I bought these shoes. Not the work shoes I went into look for, but they make me smile hugely

Revlon lip butters in candy apple ( yes, I am a sheep) and berry smoothie+ Max Factor CC cream in natural. 3 for 2 in Superdrug.

I'm really liking the CC cream, there is a bit more coverage than the BB creams but be aware that they are definitely more pale. I am very fair and the light one would have made me look like a ghost.

Wildbeast was that reply to me?

I've actually ordered 4 pairs Blush

Have a look on yoox.com they have some really cheap Hudson's at the moment.

I bought a bottle of my favourite Flowerbomb.
Also a scarf and stripey cardigan in East in coral, blue and cream. I really liked it in the shop but now slightly worried I have stumbled into mumsy territory. Maybe at 43 I should just accept the mumsiness (although I'm not actually a mum).
