Remembered another...

Elle Macpherson in an Italian restaurant, St Lawrence Gap, Barbados about 10 years ago. She looked stunning.

shopafrolic · 08/05/2013 21:15

Wow Anni good one!
Marsha get thee on FB. Are you on Twitter?

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 08/05/2013 21:20

I've left it too long, too late Shop. I can't get with it now.

Just pinterest and mn for me! (and small fb group but no pics or anything). You know who covers the blog / twitter / linked in side of the house.

Drywhiteplease · 08/05/2013 21:26

MNV FB ? Have I missed something? Confused

santamarianovella · 08/05/2013 21:27

ani wow,you spot a lot of supermodels!,we saw that banker guy she briefly dated last year in the south of france, cant remember his name, but sadly not her.

MarshaBrady · 08/05/2013 21:32

No no Dry! Not mnv.

Elle M is a good one.

Sleepwhenidie · 08/05/2013 21:32

Primarily so we can recognise each other at the MU dry, but pm me your name and I will send a friend request, not that I post on fb often, just had a sudden little flurry last week Smile

libertychick · 08/05/2013 21:34

Evening all!

Shop I ordered that Whistles maxi in black and it's due to arrive on Friday so I will provide a review.

Zara coat and bag arrived today. Coat is going back - I do like it but when I was thinking through where I would wear it I was thinking 'bar, theatre, west end for lunch' and I only do those things occasionally unfortunately. It's not work suitable and it feels too try hard for my usual weekend stuff. If only I was 28 and out socialising all the time. I am debating the bag - I really like it, good size and the patterned monochrome really suits me, strap not ideal, a bit skinny but that could be remedied...but I keep promising myself a bit of a splurge bag so considering returning it and then putting the cash aside towards something a bit more luxurious later this year.

I keep losing posts so sorry for not commenting more on other people's links - have very limited time to browse ATM too. Glad to observe there is a general 'recovering slowing' vibe going on today.

Annianni · 08/05/2013 21:36

I keep remembering others...

Becks, with the Mrs and a couple of the kids, at a concert years ago.

And a Westlife boy... small, brown hair... is it Shane?

And sorry to disappoint but I wasn't at Ibiza that year, so I missed Naomi.

libertychick · 08/05/2013 21:46

And I am hopeless at spotting celebs - never recognise them.

Can't remember who linked the Boden skinny belts - they are great - was in the shop in Park Royal a few weeks ago and liked them a lot.

Hopefully · 08/05/2013 21:52

I never see celebs. Boo. You'd be amazed how many don't choose to live in Devon. Although I was on Rolf's Cartoon Club as a kid. Does that count? And DH and I got really entertainingly excited when we saw Rod Stewart in Liberty a few months ago.

Liberty that coat is lovely, but can see it's not exactly a practical every day one Grin.

Must go to bed, have been knackered all day today.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 08/05/2013 21:59

What on earth has happened? I go away for a few days (patchy wifi, turned roaming off on my phone due to £300+ bill for my last few days in Ireland Blush) and we are on page six of MNV 10????
Copenhagen was as lovely as ever, but didn't get much shopping done. Had a rushed hour this morning but it kept hammering with rain so I gave up, never even made it into Illum, one of my favourite shops in the world. Returned home to big box from Reiss, slightly smaller one from J Crew and the rip off Vuitton leopard scarf which cost £11.49 and is 30% silk 70% wool! I didn't imagine it would even actually come, never mind be such good quality! Too knackered to do a try-on tonight, I'll wait until DH is away working tomorrow and then hide everything Grin.
Had a quick glance through the thread - my brother looks like Jude Law (impressively so) and regularly gets mistaken for him when in London. He's been quite embarrassed by gaggles of girls on several occasions and propositioned by gay Aussies on the strength of it. I used to work at a coffee shop in Kensington and at Bally in Knightsbridge, so we had loads of famous faces coming in, but that was waaaay back in the 80's

libertychick · 08/05/2013 21:59

Unless you count Irish celebs - as Ireland is so small everyone meets everyone eventually - I knew Dara O'Briain on a 'hello' in the corridor basis at uni and was quite good friends with Ryan Tubridy at that time (Decam, Grumpy and Pickled will know who he is - he is v famous in Ireland) but we lost touch after graduating.

libertychick · 08/05/2013 22:02

Welcome back Grumpy even with logging on every day keeping up is difficult. What a shame you didn't get to Illum but good to hear you shopped anyway! Looking forward to the links....

Drywhiteplease · 08/05/2013 22:06

Of course ! Now I get it! I thought you'd all wear the MN jumper/scarf etc....if I could come I'd be wearing the necklace of dooooooom !Grin

santamarianovella · 08/05/2013 22:07

liberty i watch ryan tubridy show.he seems nice.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 08/05/2013 22:11

Hey liberty, it seems everyone I know knows Hector (Navan man, y'see).
My last famous person was also Elle MacPherson anni, strangely in Universal Studios Orlando a couple of summers back. She even posed for a photo with my sil and was very relaxed and stunningly beautiful (and really, really tall!)

libertychick · 08/05/2013 22:13

Santa he is lovely - such a nice man. The interest he shows in people is very genuine.

libertychick · 08/05/2013 22:15

Ah yes Grumpy Hector is the man! I must be the only Irish person then who doesn't know him! I listen to his show for 5/10 mins in the morning while gulping down the coffee before work - he is always so cheery.

shopafrolic · 08/05/2013 22:16

No no Dry I just PM'd my real name to the London meet ups as I booked the table at the restaurant. And because my surname is a bit obscure it means people can track me down on FB quite easily and have a nose! Also means i might recognise a few people when we first arrive!
Would love to hear your thoughts on the maxi Liberty
Anni how can you forget Becks???????

Whilst re-visiting the Pink Peonies website I have happened upon these. Now I know I said no more shoes, but these look great in every colour and I am already ordering from Nordstrom....

shopafrolic · 08/05/2013 22:21

Marsha are you not even on LinkedIn? You should be for the freelancing......

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 08/05/2013 22:26

I know I went on and then freaked slightly at the amount of people I knew in the side bar. I realised it would be same for me. It's because I do two things and got worried that people would see my name in the other role. So ended account.

Would have been great to have two accounts, one for each, a shame it's not possible.

shopafrolic · 08/05/2013 22:27

Curiouser and curiouser :)
