Woo hoo! Over here.........

OP posts:
Drywhiteplease · 09/05/2013 17:52

novice puke on suit...oh dear. I had puréed carrots down my back for a whole day once....bloody Andrea (or whatever her name is) Karmel! Agree that being puked on by a non family member is worse though shop. On the plane back from holiday a kid puked a few rows infront, it was like dominoes, set each row off, it got as far as the row in front of ours before we touched down....stressful!!!!
QueenC scarlet necklace I have one you could have had I'm still looking for one, can you link it ?
I agree with you about Zara.. and you can see what I look like on SSoSo comments the stuff looks fab on 40 Bum and in the window but on me it always looks terrible.Sad

Who was looking for a maxi skirt? I have found
this one
Cheap and cheerful. Was waiting for a free p +p code but now I've linked it ill have to order it!

Now for a winge.....
I'm full of cold.
My dd just came back from school saying she felt sick and we are coming to London for the weekend ....
Have just been told that the extension I've got plans for and planning permission for can't be done because the idiots I bought it from extended without deep enough foundations Sad
I've had a huge quote to replace my boiler and hot water tank and have been told my water pressure isn't enough to feed the big boiler/ tank combo we need=££££££ to sort out.
Feel like knocking house down and starting again.

But my Addidas gazelles arrived and they're lovely.
I'm thinking they'll look nice with the maxi skirt....but what top ( apart fron fitted vests?) ESP on cooler days? Don't want to look frumpy.

Rant over....will be back to cheerful self....a little Sauternes is left at the bottom of the bottle, that will help!Grin

OneLittleLady · 09/05/2013 17:58

Thanks ladies, I'm really pleased with what I've lost so far. I've had to modify some of the exercises to account for a medical condition I have but even so, I'm chuffed it's working. I've gradually grown bigger and bigger and I just can't let it continue.

Hope you and DD feel better soon dry and that you get to enjoy your weekend in London. Real shame about your extension plans, is there any way round the problems?

shopafrolic · 09/05/2013 18:06

Drywhite poor you!! There's nothing worse than issues with plans / builders / general house issues. I hope it get sorted without too much stress.
That skirt is basically exactly what I want, but without the word petite and in dark green / khaki. I cannot find one anywhere.
If I can't find one like that then I would like pleated. Like this but in a moss / khaki
pleats to channel
this look
but a tube maxi is really what I'd like.
I have also finally decided I'd like to try the Whistles tube short skirt - but now they don't do it in khaki anymore (just black). :(

Wow One I'd missed that about the weight loss...well done!Grin
The architect is coming round tonight, will see what he comes up with..........but we could "just" extend the east wing instead Wink..... Wish I'd checked the foundations before we paid for drawings and planning applications....I've learnt a lesson there! Underpinning isn't an option. It's just so frustratingly laborious and expensive and like opening a can of worms really.

shopafrolic · 09/05/2013 18:12

Dry our place is Grade II listed - that really is opening a can of worms! Lots we'd love to do, but little we can......

OP posts:
Drywhiteplease · 09/05/2013 18:12

Ooooh that's lovely shop
Black though
I'm too short for pleats, but I love the look a lot.

McNally · 09/05/2013 18:17

How frustrating Drywhite Wine. Glad the gazelles are good though.

That's really impressive One. Congrats. Hope your arm(?) is feeling better. Have some Wine too. I am almost tempted to give The Shred another go.

Hopefully · 09/05/2013 18:33

One that's brilliant! Well done. I need to have a bit of a bootcamp couple of weeks, am feeling a bit blobby at the moment. Having invested in some nice expensive clothes last year I can't afford to gain weight, ever!

Paris I got the ecru/white (which I am hoping will be off-white/cream).

I am much better in bikers than blazers. I have the opposite of classic style though.

Shop I live in hope that whistles will do the tube skirt in ANY autumn colour again - I wear my khaki one all.the.time.

Hopefully · 09/05/2013 19:04

OK, I have been browsing the internet for 30 whole minutes and I have decreed there are NO TOPS.

ProveYourLoveToMe · 09/05/2013 19:41

There are plenty of tops hopefully. THere are, however, NO trousers Grin.

I struggle to see the fuss about Zara too. I get the lust for items on blogs/Pin, but in real life, it's all a bit crumpled and worn and poorly lit. Too short for me too, although bumlook40 seems to find gems there. in this case www.zara.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product/uk/en/zara-neu-S2013/375003/1211022/CORD+CHAIN+NECKLACE+WITH+TURQUOISE+STONES - on the Considering List.

I just bought practical, albeit dull, navy ballet flats www.dune.co.uk/muswell-simple-leather-bow-front-ballerina-0075506080007494/ Would you wear them with a wrap dress (christening/wedding) or will I look like I'm at work?

ProveYourLoveToMe · 09/05/2013 19:43

oh cock, link fail.

the necklace

the shoes

shopafrolic · 09/05/2013 19:43

Can't see the necklace Prove link failed - or the shoes.....

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 09/05/2013 19:43

Cross post will look now

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 09/05/2013 19:45

Blimey - bargainous shoes - really handy!! I would go a little dressier for a christening / wedding (unless you're on the dance floor all night?) :)

LinusDKD · 09/05/2013 19:51

Talking about tops, does anyone know of any nice sleeveless tops for people who usually don't look good in sleeveless tops? Grin

I can't do tops with spaghetti straps (unless it's for layering) and most other sleeveless tops make me look like a USSR shotputter called Svetlana, so all help is welcome.

Anyone in the market for a green neon belt?

shopafrolic · 09/05/2013 19:53

I am going to cry. I've spent at least two hours today searching for skirts. I'm giving up, if anyone spots either a jersey above the knee skirt in khaki / dark green, or a maxi in the same colour please let me know. I'll be the one weeping in the corner in despair Grin

OP posts:
McNally · 09/05/2013 20:12

Suspect you were after something straighter and not sure about the bias cut, but this Asos one shop?

shopafrolic · 09/05/2013 20:13

Linus it does look a little pale but might be worth a shot.......

Links - basically put them in
www.mumsnet.com gives www.mumsnet.com
Mumsnet gives Mumsnet
You can also insert a link without any formatting, e.g. www.mumsnet.com/
Ticking "Convert links automatically" will turn any links that look like www.mumsnet.com/ into www.mumsnet.com/

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 09/05/2013 20:17

The colours good McNally I don't mind a bias cut but not sure about the way that is cut at either side....... This is going to turn into another Breton hunt isn't it!?

OP posts:
LinusDKD · 09/05/2013 20:22

Too short? In colour called lieutenant.

store.americanapparel.co.uk/product/?productId=rsa7302

LinusDKD · 09/05/2013 20:23

Ok still don't know how to link properly.

Hopefully · 09/05/2013 20:26

I ordered and returned that AA skirt recently in red, as it looked a bit cheap. Boo.

shopafrolic · 09/05/2013 20:28

Boo is the word Hopefully.
Thanks Linus keep them coming until you get so pissed off that you want to kill me! :)
