Big headed boy. Hats?

Don't get me wrong he isn't a pumpkin on a stick but about 55cm round and all kids hats are too small. Teen ones are camouflage/skull themed but he is only 6 and I can't abide morbid or military styles and most patterns if truth be told. Men's are beige or brown, expensive and often just too big.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Have you tried sainsbos (Tu) or Matalan? I have 3 large headed dc all kitted out from those shops. The 2 year old wears 7-8 and the 6 and 8 year olds 13-14. That's as big as they go though so I'm not sure what happens next. No camo or skulls in this house either.

Learn to knit? You have complete control, then.

That said, DS1 won't regularly wear anything I've knitted. We've never had any problems, style-wise with anything bought in a bigger size. He's been known to pinch his dad's hats.

this sort of thing

H&M maybe?

I thought the OP was about sunhats! If it's wooly hats then H and M are ok.

How about these?

motherofvikings · 07/05/2013 20:38

Ds has a big head. 4yo and wearing a 7-10 age hat!
His are from sainsburys. They're in a 2 pack of fisherman style ones. One is light blue with dark blue stars and orange trim. The other is striped dark/ light blue and orange trim.

HTH :)

I was going to suggest H&M or Next too. Or sometimes M&S have OK ones.
