Getting pretty in a short time?

Pretty might be too hopeful ... getting presentable in a short time might be better!

An old friend of mine who lives away is meeting me for lunch on Wednesday.

She is pretty, slim, confident, stylish, and always perfectly turned out. I am NOT!!

I am fat with boring clothes dull hair pasty skin and spots.

What, if anything, can be done between now and then?

Get your eyebrows done.

Stop telling yourself that she's superior to you

If you wanted a haircut or colour anyway then get it done now.

Massage a facial oil into your skin, with clean fingers, before you go to bed the night before (for as long as you can before you fall asleep).

Wear your favourite outfit/accessory/piece of jewellery.

Focus on spending time with your old friend and enjoy yourself!

Eyelash tinting
Practise hair and makeup
Decide on an outfit and maybe purchase a new accessory to add style

If you don't have the time/money, the minimum you should do is:
Wash hair/style hair
Pluck eyebrows
Paint nails
Perfume
Ensure your clothes are clean and tidy

If you have time, treat yourself to something new like a scarf or something for your hair.

Final thing, stop comparing yourself to your friend and focus on feeling happy within yourself.

Wear clothes that fit properly. Paint nails with clear or neutral polish. Lipstick (not too harsh). Pluck / wax eyebrows. Clean shoes. You'll look fine and if she's any friend at all she won't be competing, just catching up. Confidence is a state of being and is nothing to do with how you look (I know this as I'm quite confident, but look a mess generally Grin)
