Eyelash tinting?

I've got a gift voucher to spend before baby comes and I'm considering getting my eyelashes tinted. I'm fair and never feel human without a bit of mascara.
Will it make a difference?

I love having mine done. I'm fair too & it means you'd don't need daily mascara. Of course, it doesn't lengthen them, but because every tiny hair on the upper & lower lids are coloured there's a great impact.
If you wear lenses don't wear them on the day.

I used to get this done at the salon fairly regularly, but I like the lift and thickness mascara gives.

It lasts more than 2-3 weeks for me. At least a month and a bit longer if pepped up with a bit of mascara too.
Ask for brown black not blue black if getting it done for the first time- less of a shock. It will look very strong on the first day then fade slightly, don't panic. And it can look odd if you don't do something with your eyebrows too- no need to dye, just a bit of eyebrow pencil.
I have been doing it for 20 years. Stops me looking like a potato.

Does it make a difference to dark eyelashes too? I always always wear mascara but have never found one waterproof enough for holidays.

I love having my lashes tinted, if you can get a lash lift at the same time (make sure you get it done somewhere good) you shouldn't need mascara for at least a month.

Inkle unless your lashes are truly black, yes it will make a difference.

I have had it done once by my sister who was training for her eye lash technician qualification - it was brilliant and lasted longer than she said it would (about a month)

I use the Dyelash kit which works out about 50p a go - same results as salon.

Effectively a perm mummy, they curl your lashes around rollers (medium for a gentle curl, small for tighter) and set them, so you get lift and curl effect that lasts for weeks.

Having a lift at the same time would be perfect. I think I'm now quite tempted to have another go with the regular eyelash tints, and it's time-saving too.

If you can, do a patch test first I had mine done and suffered a hideous allergic reaction,my own fault for not requesting a patch test but I've learned a valuable lesson.

I never knew you could get home kits! Don't need the curling etc I've been blessed with naturally curled long eyelashes.

Never had my eyebrows done either. A bit nervous about that as don't want to look weird for me.

Just trying to think of ways I could improve the just had a baby knackered look Wink. I've got 5 weeks to figure it out.

I have my fair-ish lashes tinted blue/black every 4-8 weeks. I still wear mascara every day too, but having them tinted means I don't get fair eyelash roots (!) and also means I prob use less mascara than I would otherwise. I definitely look better when I have had them done; less tired-looking I think.

Get the Dyelash kit from Amazon for about a fiver - it's henna based (I think) & you can do a test at home.

I dye my eyebrows for a min or so too - makes a pleasing difference - as with all things eyebrow, makes you look more pulled together.

I got my lashes to tinted and permed for my wedding, it was fab on honeymoon and its on my dream list of things I would do regularly if I had money.

Love getting fair eyelashes tinted, then I just curl them and done. Still wear mascara for going out in the evening bit I never wear mascara in the day as I am looking at a screen all day and rub my eyes a lot.
Also get my brows done - tip you must stress to the beautician you don't want a scouse brow and make sure they take dye off really quickly first as they can always add a bit more.

Never got a home kit. Scared I would make a mess of it. Is it easy?

I pay 20 quid for eyelash perm and a fiver for a tint. Four pound if I want my brows doing.
I live in Lancashire,

They look marvellous after I've had it done and depending on whereabouts I am on the growth cycle it can last ages.
