It's an early evening reception for a military thing. Mili folk in No1s. Men in lounge suits. Women in "equivalent". So, I need a dress, erring on side of boring, office type outfit would be fine. Trouble is I'm an 18 with a big round tummy. Anyone suggest any nice dresses around now that won't make me look fatter than I am (Evans) or emphasise my boobs unneccesarily (high neck or low neck, need something in-between). I can't ask for anything to make me look good, that just doesn't happen, but just to look "nice" and respectable.
Ta. Oh, and under £50 please, if poss, could stretch a bit more but not say over £100.

I think saw someone mention on here that shift dresses are good for apple shapes. Or perhaps a wrap dress? New Look has a fairly decent plus size section if you have one nearby, I know my local store tends to stock a number of more dressy but not over the top dresses. They have much nicer stuff in than Evans in my opinion.

Wrap dress would be fab. Have you had a look in Monsoon (should be within your price range)?

I have a couple of great wrap dresses from TK Maxx (neither one over £20)

Spanx?

Muchly over budget, but if we're talking investment this is fab. Holds all very nicely in. Extremely flattering.

Grin Some really nice things there, thank you, shops I wouldn't think of. I live in sticks so no Monsoon near. There is New Look, but plus sizes always seem to be cut so wide, but I will have a look, thanks. Haven't checked a couple yet 'cos not all links working from phone, but will look later. Thanks loads! I hate dress shopping at the moment, but size is decreasing.
