Just interested really.....

I go to a lovely little independent salon. The staff are fab and I am extremely happy with the service. I pay £107 for a cut, colour and blow dry. I go about every 8 weeks.

How much do you pay and for what service?

Thanks Smile

£14 for a wash and cut from nice local chap.

Lottapianos · 30/04/2013 13:23

Wow Mooncup! Are you happy with the cut? Bargain if you are!

Yes, I am happy with it - bit variable but this time round it's worked out really well.

However, I have the sort of hair that laughs at hairdressers and does exactly what it wants to, so it's not worth spending money on. If I wanted a perfect shiny bob it would be a different matter.

£45 in Knightsbridge, that's a wash/ cut and blow dry

monkeysmama · 30/04/2013 13:58

I pay £65 for wash, cut and blow dry.

polyhymnia · 30/04/2013 14:33

£85.00 for cut. £90,sometimes more, for colour.

HotelTangoFoxtrotUniform · 30/04/2013 14:35

£36 for a cut with a lovely man. My last hairdresser moved to LA four years ago and it's taken me this long to find someone who gets what I want. He's fab!

bunnymother · 30/04/2013 14:37

£130 for foils, cut and blow dry. But I love it - my hairdresser does a beautiful blonde colour. My natural colour is drab, I think, although I haven't really seen it for many years.

VestaCurry · 30/04/2013 14:40

£55 for a wash cut and blow dry every 4 months. He does such a great cut, it looks good as it grows out so I only have to go 3 times a year.

I once went to what was apparently a perfectly ordinary salon in the West End for highlights and a cut and was charged £289 plus £3.50 for the coffee Shock. I was too shocked to complain at the time but I have told everyone I know not to go there. It wasn't particularly swanky inside, and there was nothing special about the colour or cut.

I now pay about £130 for highlights and cut.

forevergreek · 30/04/2013 14:54

I use John carne, you can also get a massage and nails done at the same time :)

HollyMadison · 30/04/2013 14:58

About £120 for colour, cut and blow dry. Established chain, but not that special to be honest.

BlingLoving · 30/04/2013 15:00

At my City salon I pay about £90 for cut, colour and blow dry. I've always considered that a very reasonable price.

smoothieooo · 30/04/2013 15:00

£44 for wash, cut and blow dry in trendy salon in Shoreditch. It only took 40 mins but was really good. Can't pay for it to be coloured as I have to do it myself with no ammonia/low PPD stuff.

MarshaBrady · 30/04/2013 15:01

Aveda in Covent Garden, costs a fortune. £80 for haircut. £130 for half head highlights.

doubleshotespresso · 30/04/2013 15:05

Between £50-£75 for wash cut and blow-dry, depending which "stylist" I plump for. It seems a lot of money, I tend to go every 3 or 4 months if I can get away with it. Ususally in there for a cople of ours so I guess it is not bad value.

I would love to find somewhere with that "I'm so worth it" type of vibe. It always feels very routine when I go thinking about it now.

GetOrfMoiLand · 30/04/2013 15:06

About 80quid for highlights, cut and blow dry. Which is a lot cheaper than pay in Gloucester and a lot better. It's also easy to negotiate a price reduction on a blow dry if you look around, there are so many hairdressers in the area that there is healthy competition (Westminster)
