What can I wear tonight!?

I'm going out for drinks and a meal tonight with some old work collegues. I've recently lost a fair bit of weight (but stll have around a stone to go) and was planning on wearing skinny jeans, vest, waist belt and heels.

But I'm an hourglass and the waist belt really exaggerates my big boobs and hips. Not in a good way! I look like a cartoon with small waist and huge on top and below!

I've tried a cardigan over but I just look a bit bigger than I wanted to. Does anyone have any other ideas? I'm begging you!

Do you mean a waist belt as it around your waist rather than holding your jeans up? I just can't do that look either. When I used to watch gok and he always went on about belts I'd be a bit Hmm.

Can you not just wear the vest and jeans without the belt?

SayMama · 26/04/2013 14:45

Yes Queen, exactly that. I just look like I've got a pair of comedy breasts!

I was worried that I would look underdressed without an accessory, that's why I wasn't keen to do just vest and jeans!

could you use a different accessory..... cuff bracelet /bangles / necklace etc ?

have a lovely time btw!

QueenCadbury · 26/04/2013 15:56

Yep, agree with finlay can you wear jewellery instead. Do you have a statement necklace you can wear?

SayMama · 26/04/2013 16:10

Thank you both. I do have a lovely necklace that looks like bunting - I could wear that instead. I'm also going to curl my hair so it'll look like I've gone to some effort! This is why I always stay in with a takeaway!!

I love those bunting necklaces, my sister has one. I would go for the vest top untucked over jeans with heels. Do you have a blazer type jacket too?

KPeg · 26/04/2013 16:25

I agree with LeChatRouge, a blazer type jacket can make the most basic of tops look really smart, and that necklace will add a nice bit of colour!

Yes, get the necklace on, hair curled and lippy on and have some Wine. Have fun!
