Outfits to go dancing in

I'd love some help in finding some dance suitable outfits. I've recently taken up salsa which is lots of fun but find myself at a bit of a loss when it comes to wardrobe.

I need something with give and not too hot (so heavy denim is out) and something sexy but not too revealing (so no tight dresses)

Any ideas?

When I used to do salsa I would wear a loose top that was cool and didn't ride up with lightweight jeans.

One of the women used to wear a knee length flippy style skirt (from Phase 8) that used to flare out in the spins and look lovely.
