I have just turned 44 Sad and decided I need a skincare and make up revamp/update
I have a fair bit of birthday money to spend.
Question is what to spend it on? Do I go to a brand (MAC, Clarins, etc) to get a consultation or just chat to the various sales girls for thoughts and advice?

Yes, go to a couple of counters, ask for testers to try at home and ask them to write down the products they use - they all do this on a 'special card' Grin then go home, have a play with the testers and go back the following week with a clear head and spend your dosh!

YY to going to a few different counters and asking for samples. Don't just buy the first thing they suggest to you. Take samples home, play around with them and see which ones work best for you before you buy any full size products. Especially important when buying foundation. They always look different under store lights to how they look in natural light
