Shoes for orthotics

Hi
Am desperate. I must wear orthotics of my back hurts. I was wearing Converse and looking reasonably ok. But the podiatrist says no, they don't give enough support.
Currently wearing outdoor/approach type shoes but they look a bit rare esp to work. Work is casual so jeans are ok but I would love nice shoes.
Any recommendations?

I wear flat Mary Jane style shoes to work. I find these give enough support as I am mainly desk based.

Wear brogues or well fitting boots if have to walk anywhere.

Lovely private podiatrist is fine with this approach :-)
