Floral Dress - help me please!?

I bought a dress from Monsoon for a wedding last year it is white with a china blue floral print on it. It's a lovely dress but it is quite a full skirt and I am tall. The hem lands just above my knee and I realise after the event that it is just a fraction too short for me - it would be much better sitting below my knee. I am so annoyed that I listened to the shop assistant - grrr.

Although it is last year's stock, I have found it on this web page here it is dress No.4

Anyway do I try to salvage the dress by trying to let it down? The hem has been done with an interfacing piece rather than a turned up hem, so I could maybe split it and insert a ribbon if I could get a decent colour match but it would be fiddly.....

Or do I buy something new? and if so where can a tall woman (narrow shoulders, average bust, slightly wider hips than shoulders and a slightly wobbly tum) buy a good looking floral frock suitable for a vintage tea party?

Help me please! I am clueless!

In their tall section, but it looks a bit short anyway

Not floral, but def retro

As for alterations, I think this is a busy forum if you need some advice
