Has anyone had their colours done?

I just wondered if anyone has had their colours done? A friend of mine recently had her colours analysed with House of Colour and looks amazing! But another friend had hers done a few years ago and said it was a waste of money... I can't decide. It costs about £100.. is it worth it?

There are loads of threads about this (search in S&B). Happy reading Grin

There was a thread on it a couple of days ago called something like "has anyone had their colours done and thought...?"

I had my colours done by HOC about 4 years ago - and loved it. It made complete sense of my wardrobe - bar a few mistakes where I had loved a style or trend and bought for the wrong reason - and now it really helps when shopping, particularly as I do so much shopping online. I am a Jewel Winter and look best in sapphire, fuchsia, emerald and royal purple It is extraordinary when you see the effect these colours have on your complexion compared (for me) with softer shades - the bold, cool, vibrant colours make me look so much better, healthier, younger, however you like to put it! The Blush Rose had to go...When you think how easy it is to make a costly mistake, particularly when investing in an outfit for a special occasion, knowing the colours that really suit you really helps - plus you feel so much more confident and really enjoy wearing the darned thing!

Well worth it. I have commented on this loads of times before so best to do a search as suggested. But I no longer have a clothes crisis of a morning, my wardrobe is full of stuff, all of which I will wear (as opposed to put on, look in mirror, go meh, take it off and put back in wardrobe, repeat!) If you meet anyone who looks good they have always had their colours done. Do it!

Worth every penny IMHO for all the reasons gogogaga states and if you dislike clothes shopping (as I do) it allows you to scan the rails in a shop and dramatically cull the time needed to find the right things.

I'm interested to get a "style analysed" to further reduce my shopping time Grin
