I forgot I'm going to a wedding next Saturday!

I have a dress, it's this one from Hobbs www.lyst.com/clothing/hobbs-cara-dress-claret/ so I can wear that, but I have NO shoes to go with it. I don't know the people who are getting married very well (I'm going as a +1 with my best friend), but I have met them socially a few times and they are both painfully trendy. I think I would prefer boots to shoes, but its an odd colour and I'm struggling to find anything that will match. If not boots, could I get away with flats? (I really don't do heals, and my flats tend to be of the chunky mary jane variety) - I have plenty of style, it just tends to be only me that finds it stylish.

Please help me! I have about £100 to spend (would like to spend considerably less really) and will order online, but they will need to be here by next Saturday (I haven't got time to go out shopping :( ) (and ideally they will need to be here before Wednesday as DP is away till then and I have just bought 2 pairs of shoes that definitely won't go with the dress and that I claimed were MASSIVELY reduced in the sale)

Thank you

what about something like this?

The heel looks very small so I don't think they'd be massively uncomfortable. If not, is there a style you'd prefer?

They're quite nice, I think I need something chunkier though (but still weddingy) - I have a horrible fear that dainty shoes make me look like a triangle

I think boots are quite hard to pull off for a wedding.

How about these?

Those are nice SirToffee, and a bargain too!

WeWishYouAMerryNameChange what kind of shoes do you usually like?

WeWishYouAMerryNameChange · 11/04/2013 19:31

SirToffee I like those, not sure on the colour though as I will have to wear tights and they might make me feel like I have some weird naked foot thing going on - might order them though to see as they are indeed a bargain! (and thank you re the dress, that was also a sale bargain and looks amazing on)

Aufaniae - i tend to wear shoes similar to the ones SirToffee linked to, but completely flat for work and weekend are similar again but chunkier and rounder toed (or dr marten bike boots).
