Has anyone ever spray painted shoes?

If I wanted shoes in a particular colour but couldn't find them, could I just spray paint a pair?

Has anyone done this successfully?

Thanks :)

You can buy shoe dye that paints on - or at least you used to be able to.
Try John Lewis? Not sure how long lasting thÄ— dye would be though.

I've seen some in Timpsons. My idea was to find a really inexpensive, possibly charity shop, pair of shoes and dye them. It's for a very one off event so I don't really mind if it doesn't last.

Just wondering if anyone has any tips? I am generally cack-handed :)

I've used shoe dye before with good results.

Thank you Valium. As luck would have it I've just been on eBay to look for a cheap pair to dye and I found a lovely gold pair of Mary Janes so my foray into shoe dying will have to wait.

Am very tempted to give a couple of my old pairs a makeover for the summer when it finally gets here
