I am looking for good fitting thick black leggings that don't fall down. Any ideas? Thanks!

If your budget is high, try Sweaty Betty. Best I have ever had. Very thick and keep their shape beautifully. But £££.

Kione · 30/03/2013 17:50

Thanks but I want them to wear casually, not for sports. The reviews saying they are transparent, for the ones I like worried me a bit too.

I have several brands.
The Next and Per Una ones are the best.

nars · 30/03/2013 17:54

i have some from zara that are really thick and don't show any pant lines etc Grin

Fluffydressinggown · 30/03/2013 18:06

Sainsburys.

noisytoys · 30/03/2013 18:07

Next ones are really good they last about 3 months of constant wear

Sonotkylie · 30/03/2013 18:10

Yy to Sainsburys. Thick enough, black enough and going strong over a year (have 2 pairs worn once a week each on average)

EarlyInTheMorning · 30/03/2013 18:12

At the moment I have the Roma ones from Boden, ponte from BHS and extra thick from American Apparel. The latter ones are the absolute best ones by far.

I find Sainsburys and matalan to be cheap but good quality for casual.

scotlass · 30/03/2013 20:16

I like the Wallis high waisted ones. By far the most comfortable and long lasting ones I've tried.

CharlotteBronteSaurus · 30/03/2013 20:17

H&M
long. thick-ass. cheap.

mrgarybarlow · 30/03/2013 21:02

I've tried loads of different leggings but my favourite for thickness, keeping shape and not falling down are definitely Mint Velvet.

hellswelshy · 30/03/2013 21:05

Id say Sainsburys for every day, Wallis too as high waisted and wash well. Next v disappointing!

MrsBourneUltimatum · 30/03/2013 21:11

I wear leggings all the time under dresses and with tops and alway but the long, stirruped ones from Matalan (£12) but they are seasonal and only sell them in the winter (now in spring/summer it's mid length ones which I don't like). So I did some research and ended up buying some high waisted long length from Simply Be this week: amazing. Long enough for long legs, nice and high waisted so don't fall down and really thick. £13. Recommend highly.

noddyholder · 30/03/2013 21:12

H and M here too Not the cheapest ones the next ones up they last and last and can be chucked in drier and stay ok

OneMoreGo · 30/03/2013 23:30

Asda £6 leggings are the best I have tried out of M&S, Boden and Asda. Hmm...

Kione · 31/03/2013 10:25

Thanks all! I will start looking on the internet! No Sainsburys here ...

Funky Simplicity ones are brilliant, they hold you in, don't roll down or get baggy knees and come in super high , high, medium and low waist, I wear mine all the time

GaryBarlowsTaxReturn · 09/04/2018 12:36

I assume op has bought some by now considering this thread is 5 years old.

Kione · 03/05/2018 22:24
Grin 😂 I did, but can't remember which ones I went for so this was handy, now I need new ones. I was so puzzled that this thread popped up!
