Leather trainers

I'm after some type of leather trainer to wear instead of boots when the weather gets a little better, mainly with skinny jeans.

I'm normally good at finding shoes prefer high heels but I'm not getting anywhere with my search!

I bought some canvas converse last year which rubbed my feet like mad so they went on ebay and I'm not tempted to buy any more of them! I also don't want anything too sporty I am not nor anything too masculine looking.

I did buy these from Mango but I returned them as they were too big, and also they're brown on the white sole and it just looked like they were dirty so wasn't tempted to change them for a size down!

Ideal budget up to £60, less is always good. Size 4 or 5.

Is this an impossible dream or can anyone help me? Thanks

Fitflop do a plain leather trainer for around that price.

Thanks for the suggestions. Just been looking on the Superga website and have already put some cute pink ones in the basket for 2 yr old DD, £6.25 in the sale! So think I may get myself a pair too...(not pink though!)

How does the sizing come up please?

Converse do leather trainers too if you like the converse look but don't like canvas?

here?

Pf flyers are nice. Similar sort of look to converse but leather. Usually about £40 but they sometimes have them in tk maxx for around half that. I think schuh stock them online.

Hobbes8 · 29/03/2013 13:12

Oh and superga come up a bit big I think

yellowsnownoteatwillyou · 29/03/2013 13:15

Hummel, reebok 80s style ones look good with skinnys.

Look on schuhs website.

Ash are fab, like Converse but very soft/comfy leather - if you hunt online you may be able to find some offers, or maybe look on eBay for some good second-hand ones (I have bought some that way and they were top-notch but v.cheap).

I really like these they also do a low top version

Thanks again but those responding today are too late, I ordered some Superga's last night! Grin

I ended up with some pale bluey/grey canvas lace ones, even though I'd wanted leather, as I'm being optimistic about Summer and the black leather ones may have looked a bit 'heavy' for Spring. I've gone for the 4.5 so fingers crossed they'll be okay.

Also got DD some, and then DH said he wanted some too. So we'll be a twee Superga family if we wear them out together Grin

Do like the sound of Ash ones though, but not convinced on the hi tops as I'm short and think they'd make me look too stumpy.

If the Supergas are no good I'll start the search again.
