Gone from having greasy limp 'teen' hair, to dry wispy thinning hair. I am 45. What products can I use to improve it. I am clueless with any stuff like this! Thank you!

Dove pro-age shampoo (in the burgundy bottles) is quite good, my hair was thinning and damaged a little from over styling & colouring. Usually on offer in either Wilks, sainsburys or Morrisons.

I'm your age, and have fine, dry hair, prone to wispiness without vigilance. I style with as little heat as possible, and tend to go with Aveda for both products and colour. The Pure Abundance range is effective. With colour, I stick to highlights rather than the dead hand of all-over tints, which can look rather crispy.

A once-a-week deep condition with warm olive or coconut oil is worth the effort, too.
